Notepad++ cannot open large files greater than 2GB until v8.2, but the restriction is removed in later versions.
When you open larger files greater than 2GB in v8.2 or lower version it will so an error dialog with the message File too big to be opened by Notepad++

Notepad++ file open size limit
It seems there is no file open size limit now in notepad++. I had tested opening a 10 GB file in Notepad++ 8.4.4 version. Notepad++ opens larger files without any issues now. It loads larger files with a warning dialog that it may take some time to open large files.
