Replacing commas with new lines is easier with the notepad++ tool.
Sometimes you have a row of strings or numbers separated by a comma. It will be difficult to understand. To make it readable and arrange it in a single column the comma has to be replaced with a new line.
Step 1: Copy and paste the comma-separated data to notepad++
Step 2: Go to Search Menu and click Replace or Press Ctrl + h. This will open Replace dialog. Ctrl + h is shortcut for notepad++ Replace dialog box.
Step 3: In Find What: text box enter comma (,)
Step 4: In Replace with: text box enter new line character (\n)
Step 5: In Search Mode, choose the Regular expression radio button.
Step 6: Click Replace All button.
If you have 10 words with 9 commas and When the comma is replaced, in displaying replace dialog it will show that 9 occurrences were replaced in entire file.
After the comma is replaced you can see that the content is formatted to a single column.
