Visual Studio Code is free and open source. Following are the languages supported by Microsoft Visual Studio Code,
C++, C#, F#, HTML, CSS, Less, SCSS, Dart, Dockerfile, Go, JSON, Markdown, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, PowerShell, T-SQL, TypeScript.
Download the Visual Studio Code from https://code.visualstudio.com/download URL. If you are using windows select 64 bit or 32 bit package.
Step 1: Download
Here 64 bit System Installer is selected. You will get a VSCodeSetup-x64-1.58.2.exe file. Open the .exe file to begin the installation process.
Step 2: Select License Agreement
Step 3: Select Destination Location
Step 4: Select Additional Tasks.
Select the tasks and click next.
Check the Create a desktop icon.
Additionally, the below options are selected,
Add "Open with Code" action to Windows Explorer file context menu
Add "Open with Code" action to Windows Explorer directory context menu
These options are used when you Right click on any file and you can select the Open with Code option to open the file in Microsoft Visual Studio Code.
Step 5: Ready to Install.
Click Install to proceed to the final step.
Step 6: Click Finish to Launch Visual Studio Code
Now Microsoft Visual Studio Code is ready to start with your favorite language.
